The Friars are Moving to St. Louis (posted 28 May 2012)
You prayers are requested for the Friars as they prepare to make a final move to the St. Louis area. Fr. Greg and Br. Antony have been in Dayton, OH, providing pastoral ministry to Christ our Hope Anglican Church since January 2011. Bishop Morales, Bishop Ordinary for the Diocese of Quincy, has asked that they take Christ Anglican Church in O’Fallon, IL (Metro East/St. Louis) and permanently plant the Mother House of the Franciscan Missionaries of Divine Compassion in the St. Louis area. This move is to be complete by 1 July 2012. We thank you for your prayers!

The Brothers and Sisters of the Franciscan Missionaries of Divine Compassion (FMDC) extend a hearty welcome to our newest Novice in the Third Order Secular, Br. Phil Gilbreath. Br. Phil is a member of St. Gabriel’s Anglican Church in Springdale, Arkansas. The pastor of the parish is Fr. John Slavin, the Regional Minister for the FMDC in the South Central Region. Fr. John is canonically resident in the Diocese of Forth Worth.

I wondered if your community is in the Episcopal church or a “continuing anglican church”. Thank you!
We are religious of the Anglican Communion in the United States. We accept candidates and work with parishes in all Anglican jurisdictions.
